Hello my friends – for the final time this season!
Ugh, I’m already getting too emotional. But holy cow, we made it y’all- and what a wild one it has been. 2020 has been something to behold and experience…or endure rather? It was a season of trials…victories…laughter…tears…for us all. The humans and experiences that touched your life this year will be ones that live with you forever. This year of years will be marked as historic ad unprecedented – and the imprint left will be lasting. This community has drawn a line through each of our stories this season and connected us all. While there has been a lot of heartache and worry this year, it brings me great joy to recognize this treasure: all of you- beautiful people, full of support and kindness, will also be a centerpiece of these memories. You will be part of the stories I will share with my grandchildren of the future when they ask about the shift our world shouldered in 2020 and how we got through it. We couldn’t have done it this season…or any season…without you. So we thank you all one last time from the bottom of our heats for being here. Give yourself some love for choosing to care for this earth and your farmers even in a year where caring has felt really hard. And please, just keep on doing it – the world always needs more!
So now that we’re all good and sapped up – remember that pick-up will be this SATURDAY THE 21st
- ON FARM in GARDINER from 10am -12pm for Gardiner regulars unless otherwise noted
- IN BEACON at HUDSON VALLEY BREWERY from 2-4pm for Garrison/Beacon regulars unless otherwise noted
OH- and here’s what ye’ll be hauling for your feast of thanks.
- Butternut squash
- Winter Radishes
- Spinach (maybe)
- Lettuce (maybe)
- Kale (maybe)
We’ll see you all on Saturday for a big ol’ goodbye and our last ring around the veggies together…please no crying….mostly a reminder for myself.
Thank you for making the past two seasons so special.
Eternal love and gratitude.
